The Original Moyo Drum

The Moyo Drum by Visionhawk Music is a steel tongue drum with a magnificent chime tone. It sounds similar to the rare and expensive “hang” drum.  The Moyo Drum is made from a 20lb propane tank, what some are calling a “hank” drum.  These drums have pentatonic tuning, so all the notes go together.  No musical ability is needed to play and enjoy a Moyo Drum.  Your Moyo may be played with your hands or with mallets provided with the drum.

The Original Moyo Drum comes in Key of D has 7 tongues producing 5 notes, some in 2 octaves. 
D is the lowest note on the Moyo Drum.

The Moon Drum below is a special tuning in the key of C, not pentatonic, not quite a major scale either. The Mood Drum comes only with the moon drum paint job, with a $25.00 upcharge for this paint scheme. This is the deepest tone we make.
