It sounds similar to the rare and expensive “hang” drum. The Moyo Drum is made from a 20lb propane tank, what some are calling a “hank” drum. These drums have pentatonic tuning, so all the notes go together. No musical ability is needed to play and enjoy a Moyo Drum. Your Moyo may be played with your hands or with mallets provided with the drum. Now available in 2 keys! Key of D has 7 tongues producing 5 notes, some in 2 octaves. Key of A has 6 tongues producing 5 notes. Low A (an octave lower than found on the D Moyo Drum) is the lowest note on this Moyo.
